The purpose of this requirement is to protect employees of car washes from under the table cash payments, child labor laws, and a lack of worker&#8217;s compensation insurance.</p>
<p>Recently the California Labor Commission file an action in the San Diego Superior Court to shut down a San Diego carwash for failing to register with the Labor Commissioner&#8217;s Office.</p>
